Chlorinators for Tap Water Disinfection

    Chlorinators for Water Disinfection

Chlorination systems for disinfection potable and non-potable water. Suitable for private or public use. Constant, proportional or automatic chlorine dose.

    General

The presence of pathogenic microorganisms in water is known and their growth is favored by factors such as neutral pH, the presence of organic matter is their food, and the presence of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus.

Because of their very small size the microorganisms are difficult to remove completely from the water only by physicochemical processes, such as filtration, precipitation, so water disinfection is an importand additional treatment.

Chlorination of water is one of the oldest methods of water disinfection and in particular drinking water. Chlorine kills microorganisms and bacteria and protects us from diseases such as cholera and typhoid.

In most countries, chlorine is used as the primary disinfectant. Chlorine has many advantages including its cheap cost, effectiveness and convenience of measuring the level of chlorine both in the laboratory and in the field.

An additional but equally important advantage is the residual chlorine which prevents any contamination during distribution, transportation and storage of water.

    Chlorination Type

    • Simple: Constant flow rate, connected in parallel to well pump.
    • Proportional: Chlorine dose depending on the water flow rate.
    • Auto-Redox: Automatic dose by measurement of Redox.
    • Auto-Chlorine: Automatic dose by measurement of residual chlorine.
